Seletar Lake Sunrise

After several trips to Seletar Lake to catch the breaking dawn, here's a couple of shots that I got so far. The next trip should be much earlier to capture the bluish skies.

Panglao Island - Morning Sky

Again, more than a month overdue, but here they are… some Sunrise shots I took when we were on a 3-day getaway in Panglao Island – Bohol, PH. Waking up 5am in the morning is no joke, and is still a bit late to catch the bluish sky but hey looking at these pics brings back the sound of the breaking waves. Enjoy!

Macro with a DIY Diffuser

Taking in some advice from macro masters, I made a DIY diffuser hehe, here are some sample shots.

I also spent almost 3 hrs browsing through critter pages trying to ID my subjects, LoL! And this is the best I came up with. If anyone knows the correct IDs, please post as necessary.

My DIY diffuser is made from stuffs lying around the house; foil + disposable bowl/plates + cardboard and double sided tape.

All shot just beside our block... :)

Youth Olympic Games - Opening Ceremony

Here's another shoot on Fireworks at the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games 2010 - Singapore.

Having learned my lesson at the National Day Preview, I decided to head there 4 hrs early, yep, 4 hrs early!! LoL As I was expecting a huge crowd, I camped at a position in the 2nd level of the Singapore Flyer. T'was by far not a good position but it's good enough for me as long as I don't have to hustle through the crowd of spectators. The 4 hr wait, wasn't boring at all with all the YOG participants on parade while they're heading to the platform.

Enough fireworks for now, LoL!

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Last week, I went to the Singapore Botanic Gardens with two friends from work. Woke up very early for this hehehe.

These are the closest I can get. Nice try, but I better get myself a DIY diffuser to get that evenly spread lighting next time.
